  1. If you visit our website merely for information purposes, i.e. if you do not register or send us information in any other way, we only collect the personal data which your browser sends to our server. When you request to view our website, we collect the following data which are technically required for us to display our website to you and to ensure stability and security (the legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 lit. f GDPR):
    • IP address
    • Date and time of the request

    • Browser
    • Operating system and user interface
    • Language and version of the browser software.
  2. In addition to the data mentioned above, cookies are saved on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files which are allocated to the browser used by you and saved on your hard drive and which ensure that the location of the cookie (in this case we) receives specific information. Cookies cannot execute programmes or transmit viruses to your computer. Their purpose is to make the website offer more user-friendly and effective overall.
  3. Use of cookies:
    1. This website uses the following types of cookies whose scope and functionality are explained below:
      • Transient cookies, see b)
      • Persistent cookies, see c)
      • Third-party cookies, see d)
    2. Transient cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser. They particularly include session cookies. These cookies save a so-called session ID which is used to allocate different browser queries to the joint session. This means that your computer can be recognised when you return to our website. The session cookies are deleted if you log out or close the browser.
    3. Persistent cookies are deleted automatically after a specific duration which can vary by cookie. You can delete these cookies at any time in your browser’s security settings.
    4. We also use different third-party providers which assist us with showing you the relevant online ads. These third-party providers can also save cookies on your computer's hard disk (third-party cookies). You can delete these cookies at any time in your browser’s security settings.
    5. You can configure your browser settings as desired and e. g. reject third-party cookies or all cookies. We need to point out that this can mean that you will not be able to use all functions on this website.

§ 4 Additional functions and offers of our website

  1. In addition to using our website for information purposes only, you may also be interested in the various services that we offer. These normally require further personal data which we use to provide the respective service and which are subject to the data processing principles mentioned above.
  2. We sometimes use external service providers to process your data. We choose and commission them with care and they are bound by our instructions and monitored regularly.
  3. We may also pass on your personal data to third parties if we offer campaigns, sweepstakes, contracts or similar services together with partners. You will be given further information when you provide your personal data or you can find this below in the description of the respective offer.
  4. If our service providers or partners are situated in a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we will inform you of the consequences of this circumstance in the offer description.

§ 5 Objecting to or revoking processing of your data

  1. If you have given your consent for the processing of your data, you may revoke this at any time. Such a revocation influences the permissibility of processing your personal data after you have revokes your consent.
  2. To the extent that we base the processing of your personal data on a consideration of interests, you may object to the processing. This is the case particularly if the processing is not required for contract performance with you which we will outline in the following description of the functions. When applying such an objection, we ask for reasons why we should not be processing your personal data. If the objection is justified, we will check the factual situation and either refrain from the data processing, adapt the data processing or give you compelling reasons regarding data protection why we should continue the processing.
  3. Of course you may object to the processing of your personal data for advertising purposes and data analysis at any time. You can notify us of your objection to advertising under the following contact details: info.de@dantherm.com

§ 6 Social media

  1. We maintain an online presence on social networks and platforms in order to communicate with our customers, interested parties and users who are active there and be able to inform them of our services.

We point out that this can result in user data being processed outside the area of the European Union. This can result in risks for the users because this may e.g. make it more difficult to assert user rights. With regard to US providers certified under the Privacy Shield, we point out that they therefore agree to comply with the EU data protection standards.

Moreover, user data is normally processed for market research and advertising purposes. This makes it possible to create user use profiles e.g. based on user behaviour and the resulting interests. In turn, user profiles can be used to e.g. display ads on or outside the platforms which may match the users' interests. For such purposes, cookies are normally saved on the users' computers which store the user behaviour and interests of the users. Furthermore, the user profiles can also be used to save data independently of the devices used by the users (particularly if the users are members of the respective platforms and are logged in).

Personal user data are processed based on our legitimate interests in effective user information and communication with users in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f. GDPR. If the providers of the respective platforms ask the users for consent to the above data processing, the legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a., Art. 7 GDPR.

For a detailed presentation of the respective processing and objection options (opt-out), please see the following links to information by the providers.

Information queries and user rights assertions can most effectively be addressed directly to the providers themselves. Only the providers have access to the user data and can take corresponding measures and provide information directly. If you still need help, you can contact us.

  2. Use of Facebook social plugins

Based on our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operations of our online offer within the meaning  Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f. GDPR), we use social plugins („Plugins“) of the social network facebook.com operated by Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland („Facebook“). The plugins can present interaction elements or contents (e.g. videos, graphics or text) and can be identified by one of the Facebook logos (white „f“ on a blue tile, the term „Like“ „or the“ „thumbs up“ symbol) or by the addition „Facebook social plugin“. The list and look of Facebook social plugs can be seen here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.

Facebook is certified under the Privacy Shield Treaty and as such offers a guarantee to comply with European data protection law (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC&status=Active).

Whenever a user accesses a function of this online offer that contains such a plug-in, their browser sets up a direct link with the Facebook servers. Facebook directly transmits the content of the plug-in to the user's device and integrates this into the website. The processed data can be used to create user profiles for the users. We therefore cannot influence the extent of the data which Facebook collects with the help of this plugin and are therefore informing user in accordance with our level of knowledge.

When the plugins are integrated, Facebook receives the information that a user has accessed the corresponding page of the online offer. If the user is logged into Facebook, Facebook can allocate the access to the Facebook account. If the user interacts with the plugins, e.g. by clicking the Like button or adding a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted directly to Facebook and saved there. If a user is not a Facebook member, Facebook may still obtain and save their email address. According to Facebook, only anonymised IP addresses are saved in Germany.

Users can find out about the purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of their data by Facebook as well as their rights and settings options to protect the users' private sphere, under the Facebook Privacy Policy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

If a user is a Facebook member and does not want Facebook to collect data about them using this online offer and combine these with the member data saved by Facebook, they must log out of Facebook and delete their cookies before using our online offer. Further settings and objections against use of data for advertising purposes are possible in the Facebook profile settings: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads  or via the US site  http://www.aboutads.info/choices/  or the EU site http://www.youronlinechoices.com/. The settings are independent of specific platforms, i.e. they are used for all devices such as desktop computers or mobile devices.

Our website uses functions of the network LinkedIn. The provider is the LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

  5. YouTube

Our website uses the video platform YouTube provided by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave. San Bruno, CA 94066, USA („YouTube“). YouTube is a platform which enables the transmission of audio and video files.

If you access a corresponding page of our offer, the embedded YouTube player establishes a connection to YouTube so that the video or audio file can be transmitted and played. To do so, data are also transmitted to YouTube as the controller. We are not responsible for processing of these data by YouTube.

For more information about the scope and purpose of the collected data, further processing and use of the data by YouTube, your rights and the data protection options available to you, see the YouTube Data Privacy Statement.

§ 7 Google Analytics

  1. This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service by Google Inc. („Google“). Google Analytics uses so-called „cookies“, text files saved on your computer, which enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information regarding your use of this website, which is created by the cookie, is normally sent to the Google server in the USA and saved there. If IP anonymisation is enabled on this website, Google first abbreviates your IP address in countries that are Member States of the European Union or Contracting Parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to the Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. Commissioned by the operator of this website, Google will use this information in order to analyse use of the website, compile website activity reports and provide other services related to website or internet use for the website operator.
  2. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with the other Google data.
  3. You can prevent cookies from being saved by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in such a case, you will be unable to fully use all functions of this website. In addition, you can prevent the data created by the cookie and related to the use of the website (incl. your IP-address) from being recorded by Google and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
  4. This website uses Google Analytics with the extension „_anonymizeIp()“. This means that IP addresses are shortened before they are processed further in order to exclude the possibility of relating them to any person. If the data collected about you have a personal link to you, this is excluded immediately and the personal data are deleted immediately.
  5. We use Google Analytics in order to be able to analyse and regularly improve the use of our website. The statistics obtained help us to improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user. Google has signed up to the EU-US Privacy Shield for the exceptional cases when personal data are transmitted to the USA, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. The legal basis for using Google Analytics is Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR.

  2. When you visit the website, YouTube receives the information that you have accessed the relevant subpage of our website. In addition, the data mentioned in § 3 of this Statement are transmitted. If you are logged into Google, your data are allocated directly to your account. If you do not want this information to be allocated to your YouTube profile, you must log out before enabling this button. YouTube saves your data as user profiles and uses them for advertising, market research and/or other purposes relating to designing a website tailored to market need. Such an analysis is performed (including for users who are not logged in) particularly to provide advertising tailored to market need and to inform other users of the social network of your activities on our website. You have the right to object against the creation of such user profiles, but to exercise this right, you must contact YouTube.
