Drying of structures in new buildings
The construction periods for new buildings are getting shorter and shorter. Normally there is no time to allow the construction and residual humidity from the shell structure to dry naturally. External façades are quickly coated in high-quality insulation systems. This saves heating costs later on, but during the construction phase, it prevents the building from drying fully. In order to meet the strict requirements of the current Energy Savings Ordinance (EnEV), the insulation fully prevents the exchange of air through the building envelope and hence also the diffusion of steam to the outside.
This means that damage due to residual humidity in the rooms is close to certain unless targeted dehumidification is used in the new building, even though they may only become apparent several years later. In most cases, the humidity damage arising over several years can only be repaired in an extensive renovation.
AERIAL® dehumidifiers have been designed and developed especially to dry structures. We offer the ideal solution for every application. Speak to us!
